I don’t think that freight forwarders might have to see an extinction after any changes in shipping industry because they play role like backbone of the industry. They will also adopt new changes in the industry and will work according to that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the same.

International shipping in the near future will become more efficient and fast moving. Freight forwarders might have to see an extinction if AI takes up in the coming technology.

I totally agree with the expected changes in the near future in the shipping industry,change is inevitable ,However the role of the freight forwarders will not extinct perse but will rather improve to be able to accomodate the changes,remember there is alot of training of human resources especially on customer relationship and customer care.this is the bottom line of managing any successive business in the 4IR and digital technologies.I agree with autoation but also disagree on monopoly .

Don’t hold your breath for these predictions to be a reality. Example; how will they deal with ILA and ILWU who will
shut down the US ports over automation? And while I believe in advanced technology, I see a lot of technology firms
today developing solutions looking for a problem. Again, I support technology development, it has to be a collaborative
effort between the industry/service providers and the technology people, not technologists developing solutions
to virtually unknown problems.
