Meet Micah Burke, former professional golfer, now General Manager for Universal Cargo. From high school, Micah passionately pursued a career playing golf, earning a scholarship in college and finishing All-American his senior year. Shortly after graduation, Micah traveled to Asia and Canada to play professionally and earned a living for 7 years. Now he helps shippers import goods from Canada, Asia, and all over the world. He helps them export goods too.
When it came time to call it quits on professional golf, Micah moved back home to L.A. and began his career at UC. Growing up in the Burke family meant freight logistics was a part of life, so it was only natural he’d join the family business. The transition from golf to logistics wasn’t easy, but Micah put the same drive and determination into helping shippers surmount challenging supply chains as he did surmounting the challenges of making a living playing golf. Thankfully, the support and guidance of Shirley and Devin Burke made the transition as smooth as possible.
